Abstract
This study presents a comprehensive business plan for the establishment of Squashringa, a vegetable-based pastry business located at 57 Camarin Road, Barangay 174, Caloocan City. The business introduces an innovative and healthier snack alternative by incorporating locally available vegetables such as squash (Cucurbita) and moringa (Moringa oleifera) into muffins. Unlike traditional fruit-based pastries, Squashringa aims to redefine consumer perception by demonstrating that vegetables can be transformed into flavorful, appealing, and nutritious products. The concept promotes healthier eating habits while supporting local farmers through the use of locally sourced ingredients. Strategically located in a high-traffic and accessible area, the business targets students, commuters, professionals, and nearby residents who seek convenient yet health-conscious snack options. The study employed market research to identify target consumers and demand trends, along with a 4Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) survey to evaluate marketing effectiveness. Product testing was conducted to assess taste, texture, and acceptability, while legal compliance procedures ensured adherence to required permits and regulations. Financial viability analysis, including cost estimation and projections, was also performed to determine profitability and sustainability. Results indicate that Squashringa has strong market potential due to its unique value proposition combining nutrition, affordability, and convenience. Product testing showed high consumer acceptability in terms of taste, texture, and quality, while the strategic location enhances visibility and customer reach. Financial analysis reveals that the business is highly profitable, achieving an estimated return on investment (ROI) of 271% within one year, reflecting efficient operations and strong growth potential. In conclusion, Squashringa is a feasible and sustainable business that addresses the increasing demand for healthier snack options while promoting innovation and supporting local agriculture. With effective marketing strategies and continuous product development, it has the potential to become a competitive brand in the food industry.
