"Brainrot" refers to cognitive decline caused by frequent exposure to trivial and unchallenging content, often linked to excessive social media use and overstimulation (Bhagwath, 2025). Excessive screen time may negatively affect children's cognitive development (Gastaud, 2023). This study examines the relationship between screen time spent on brainrot content and the cognitive functioning of Grade 7 students, such as their attention span, memory performance, and behavioral regulation.

The General Academic Strand is one of the four main academic tracks in the K-12 curriculum implemented during School Year 2012-2013. This strand offers students a unique advantage, as it allows them the flexibility to explore a variety of specialized subjects offered under the other available strands. As a result, students enrolled in the GAS program can cultivate a well-rounded education and develop a versatile skill set, opening the door to a wide variety of future career paths. School newspapers develop students' communication skills, critical thinking, and engagement in school affairs. However, the Ignacian Marian Imprint of St. Ma's College Inc., Quezon City, was discontinued due to financial constraints and declining participation. As students increasingly use digital media, shifting the publication online offers a cost-efficient and accessible way to revive campus journalism. This study examines the feasibility of reviving the publication through digital platforms by assessing student interest, available resources, faculty support, and sustainability, with the aim of guiding schools in restoring inclusive student publications.

There are many untold stories about the resilience of urban poor communities. Due to poverty, the educational system in the Philippines is significantly impacted, affecting students' overall well-being. This is evident among 4Ps beneficiaries under the program launched by the DSWD in 2008 under Republic Act No. 11310, which provides conditional cash grants for child education and health. However, despite the efforts of the 4Ps program, poverty remains a major obstacle, as seen in some barangays in Quezon City, especially Payatas, where socio-economic struggles are prevalent. This study explores the lived experiences of 4Ps student beneficiaries at Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma High School in Brgy. Payatas B, Quezon City, who encounter many challenges. The purpose of the study is to understand the lived experiences of 4Ps student beneficiaries within the educational context, including how they became program participants, the challenges they face, coping mechanisms, and recommendations for program improvement.

This dissertation aims to explore the lived experiences of administrators in managing conflicts within their work environment. Specifically, the study seeks to describe the participants' experiences in understanding the nature of conflict, causes of conflict, examples of conflict, and their strategies in managing conflict. Examining the participants' challenges and coping mechanisms is also an objective of the study.

This study explores the level of emotional intelligence (EI) among Registered Social Worker graduates of St. Mary's College Inc. and how it influences their professional practice, resilience, and personal well-being. Guided by the work of Peter Salovey and John D. Mayer and further supported by Daniel Goleman's competency framework, emotional intelligence is understood as a set of important skills, namely self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Considering how demanding social work is in the Philippine setting, where professionals often handle trauma cases, poverty-related concerns, limited resources, and heavy caseloads, the study aims to determine their EI levels and how these help them manage stress while staying effective in their roles.

The physical environment of a classroom plays a significant role in shaping students' learning experiences and academic performance. This study examines students' perceptions of how various classroom design elements, such as layout, lighting, ventilation, seating arrangement, noise levels, cleanliness, and access to learning resources, affect their ability to focus and learn effectively. The research aims to identify which elements students consider most influential and determine their overall impact on academic performance.

College students are expected to develop independence, but family influence continues to shape their emotional well-being and academic motivation. While motivation is often studied in relation to personal interests, peers, and the school environment, the role of family communication in tertiary education is less explored. Family communication patterns, particularly conversation-oriented and conformity-oriented styles, can affect students' confidence, persistence, and goal-setting. This study examines the relationship between family communication and academic motivation among students at St. Mary's College Inc.

In today's digital age, schools use social media to reach prospective students. St. Mary's College Inc., Quezon City, promotes its programs and achievements through Facebook, helping students and parents explore senior high school options. However, there is limited research on how Facebook advertising influences Grade 11 enrollment decisions. Thus, this study evaluates its impact on new students' enrollment choices.

In today's digital world, short-form videos from platforms such as TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels have become common information sources for young learners. For Grade 8 students, these brief, visually engaging videos are increasingly relied upon as learning tools for World History. While they make complex events more relatable through animated timelines and storytelling, their limited duration can lead to oversimplification and a lack of context. This study examines how students engage with and interpret these videos to determine whether they contribute to meaningful historical understanding.

This study examines Senior High School students' perceptions and practices regarding solid waste management within the school campus. While students are generally aware of proper waste segregation, disposal, and the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling, these practices are not consistently applied in daily routines. Schools generate various types of waste, making students' behavior essential in maintaining cleanliness and sustainability. The study aims to identify the gap between students' knowledge and their actual practices, as well as the factors influencing whether awareness is translated into action.

Facebook analytics include data from audience behavior, content performance, and overall marketing impact. Insights from these analytics help identify what works and where growth opportunities exist. This study seeks to investigate how Facebook analytics can be used to optimize marketing strategies by using data-driven insights to understand marketing effectiveness. Through this approach, the research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of how institutions can translate analytic findings into actionable improvements, ultimately supporting more informed and outcome-oriented digital marketing strategies.

Community-based educational outreach programs support children in underserved communities and help form socially responsible student volunteers. However, many barangay-level school initiatives lack formal evaluation. This study addresses this gap by assessing the Unang Hakbang Initiative of the Center for Community Services of St. Mary's College, Inc., Quezon City, which provides educational and developmental activities for children in Barangay Paligsahan. The study examines the program's effectiveness, volunteer-beneficiary engagement, and contributions to child development and student formation.

The interpretation of historical events has always been a dynamic process influenced by evolving perspectives, newly discovered evidence, and sociopolitical contexts. In the Philippine setting, this process, commonly referred to as historical revisionism, has become a contentious subject, particularly when it involves the reinterpretation of controversial national events. While legitimate historical revisionism aims to enhance historical understanding through scholarly inquiry, it has, in recent years, been overshadowed by historical distortion, where facts and key events in Philippine history are deliberately manipulated and controlled to serve ideological, political, or personal interests.

The development of social awareness is essential in preparing students to become empathetic, responsible, and socially engaged individuals. To promote this, St. Mary's College Inc., Quezon City, implements the Social Consciousness Program (SCP), a faith-based initiative designed to expose students to social issues and encourage reflection, empathy, and civic responsibility. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SCP in fostering social awareness among Senior High School students. Specifically, it seeks to understand students' perceptions of the program's purpose, the changes in their perspectives about society after participating in the program, and how the school can further support the development of students' social awareness.

Wastewater treatment facilities play a vital role in preserving the environment by processing wastewater through multiple cleansing stages. At St. Mary's College Inc., Quezon City, there is a lack of research evaluating its wastewater treatment facility (WWTF), which limits the institution's ability to gain valuable insights into its operations. This quantitative descriptive-inferential study assesses the WWTF of SMCIQC using the quality of treated effluent data, composed of daily monitoring records and quarterly laboratory data.

This study aims to determine the impact of student teaching on learners' academic performance, engagement, and motivation, as well as to identify the challenges experienced by student teachers during their practicum. The research focuses on how student teaching contributes to both the learning outcomes of students and the professional growth of pre-service teachers. The study employs a quantitative descriptive method, utilizing a researcher-made questionnaire distributed to selected respondents. The data are analyzed using frequency, percentage, and weighted mean to interpret the results objectively. Findings reveal that student teaching has a positive impact on learners' academic performance, and it also enhances student engagement and motivation. Moreover, the experience contributes to the confidence and professional growth of student teachers. However, challenges such as classroom management difficulties, lesson delivery issues, and teaching-related anxiety are also identified. Based on the findings, it is concluded that student teaching plays a vital role in developing the competencies of future educators. The study recommends continuous mentorship, enhanced training programs, and extended practicum periods to further improve the quality of student teaching and better prepare education students for the professional field.

Transitioning to a new educational environment presents significant challenges for transferee students, requiring adjustments to unfamiliar social and institutional norms. At St. Mary's College Inc., Quezon City (SMCIQC), an institution centered on character formation, religious education serves as a primary influence on student behavior and moral responsibility. This study explores how religious teachings guide the actions and adaptation of Grade 11 transferees, specifically those transitioning from secular backgrounds.

DIY smart device development in STEM promotes hands-on learning, creativity, and problem-solving. However, students face challenges such as poor programming and electrical skills, circuit design difficulties, limited resources, financial constraints, and unstable internet connectivity. Time management issues, communication problems, and academic pressure also affect performance and motivation. This study aims to explore the challenges encountered by a robotics team, their impact on project completion and innovation, students' coping strategies, and how schools can provide better support.

Online and face-to-face tutorials play an important role in the English language acquisition of foreign students in the Philippines, where English is used as a second language. This study aims to determine the perceptions of foreign students toward online and face-to-face English tutorial modalities and to identify which mode best supports their academic progress.
